Hey everyone!!!! I know, it's been a while since I've posted anything. I've been pretty busy lately. With school, with friends, with life. :D
It's a clear, cold Monday morning, and I'm sitting outside, so my fingers are freezing, but it is very serene out here, so I don't mind. :) God's creation sure is lovely, especially on mornings like this. This is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. :D
So, there have been many things that have transpired over the course of the past two weeks. I honestly can't remember all of them, but I can try my best to think about some highlights. I did get to go home and see my awesome Jet Theatrix friends perform their first play of the year. It was a smaller cast, but it was fabulous!! I also got to participate in my very first banquet ask this past Thursday!! My friend Renee asked one of the guys here, Rob, in Kingdom Hearts style, and it was most epic. My role in Rob's quest was to be Winnie the Pooh in the Hundred Acre Woods, and he had to climb a tree to get a note that would tell him his next destination in his quest. He said I made a very good Pooh Bear, even though he hated that part of the actual video game. :P It was a lot of fun, and it was worth standing outside in the cold at night for around half an hour waiting for him to get there. He said yes of course. :D
Friday night was a good night. This past week we had a Human Trafficking Conference, and out of the night sessions, I went to the Friday night session. It was really eye opening for me. Afterwards, they showed the movie "Taken". I've only seen it one other time, but it is a very powerful movie. A lot of us went out to eat afterwards for Kayla's roommate's 21st birthday.
Saturday was a humbling day. My CLF (foundations for christian life) small group and I did our community service hours for the class that we needed. We spent five hours cleaning at the Women's Care Center here in Dayton. The lady that runs it gave us a very powerful testimony about how God has provided for them so much and hasn't let them down when they needed it most. We vacuumed, dusted, reorganized, and cleaned the covers of the children's books that they have out for the little ones to read in the lobby. They were very grateful for our help. :) I would love to go back and help them again sometime. Later on, Yolonda, Katherine, Grace, Brenna, Wendy, and I played Lord of the Rings Trivial Pursuit (DVD edition), and it was sooo much fun!!!! I won, but it was more by chance because I kept getting easy questions. Then, we all watched....Toy Story 3!!! (which is where my blog title comes from ^_^) This was the first time I'd ever seen it, and to be honest, it made me cry.....but it was sooooooo good!!!!!!!! I suggest any Toy Story fan to watch this movie!! In fact, you should have a Toy Story marathon and just watch all three of them back to back to back!! I would if I could. :D I also got to have a deep discussion with Yolonda, which I'm very thankful for, because through discussion, you get to know people better. Plus, I just love Yolonda sooo much!!
Sunday, I got a new hat at Wal-mart!! Lolz. I also got to spend more time with Yolonda, and I got to have some discussions with Lauren as well. Lauren is such a sweet heart. I love getting to spend time with her and just talk to her. (I also can't wait for Thanksgiving, cause she's coming with me!!!) Testify was great, and swing dancing was okay (I only got to dance with one guy.) I had a little bit of a freak out, but it's all good now. Let me just say that my friend Josh, he's just awesome. He is one of the best guy friends that I've ever had. :D
So yeah, my life has been full of things lately.
Side-ish note: Have you ever had something happen that on the grand scheme of things shouldn't be that big of a deal, but the way it makes you feel reminds you of something painful, so it becomes that big of a deal to you? I always here the saying, "Forgive and forget." You know what, only one person can truly do that. Only God can really forgive and forget. He casts our sins as far as the east is from the west, which is incredible since you can go east and keep going east and never end up going west (as opposed to going north, in which you eventually will start going south, and vise versa). I can forgive someone for leaving without a goodbye and lying to me and hurting me in the process of it all, but I can never really forget it, and because of this, when something happens that makes you feel like that again (but on a smaller scale, since you know that this time the person will come back), it brings out that feeling of rejection and hurt, as well as worry. I don't know how many of you readers really experience this kind of thing, but I know that I do, and it's probably more often than I realize. I just need to keep in mind that my friends here are true friends. They won't hurt me like I've been hurt in the past. As long as I can remember this, I know that I can conquer those feelings, and I can do it with the help of my friends. ^_^
Wow, this post is really long now.....luckily, the typing has kept my fingers pretty warm actually. :D Now that I've gotten all this out, I think it's time I get off and get busy with my day. :) God bless you all!!!

- My name is Katherine Grace, but most people just call me Katie. :D One of my dear friends has a blog too, and she has inspired me to start one. I just want to be able to share my thoughts and my adventures of this life with others. ^_^
Beautiful writing. Sharing from your wonderful heart. As dissappointments come, the Lord uses those times as opportunities for growth in our walk with Him. Forgiveness. Restoration. So beautiful to behold. The Lord usues those two to accomplish such mighty things in our lives as we trust Him in knowing what is best for our lives. You are blessed with true friends here and there. That is an incredible blessing! Thankful you are a true friend to others, Katie!
