Sherlock Holmes, Chattanooga, and Sore Feet

Do you ever have one of those nights that just make you think? That you look back on and say, "Did that really happen?" That you look at later and are in awe of how amazing the night was? Well, tonight was one of those nights. ^_^

The evening started out when I got dressed. I seriously felt like a princess in my banquet dress (thanks to Renee). When I walked out into the lobby with Renee and Olivia, there they were. Adam (for Olivia), Chris (for Renee), and Luke (for me) were standing there with flowers for us. I've never had a guy give me a bouquet of flowers before, so that was exciting. Then we walked out, and Scott and David were there as well. They were actually part of our group, so that was pretty exciting. They are both really nice guys.

I got so many compliments on my dress and how I looked by all my friends once we were in the cafeteria for banquet. It made me feel somewhat more confident in my make-up wearing actually, since I don't wear it very often. I guess I can put it on and make it look presentable (lolz). The dinner was very exquisite, but unfortunately there wasn't a single table that was completely empty, so Renee, Chris, Luke, and I sat at one table and Adam, Olivia, Scott, and David sat at another one. >.< It was pretty cool. We got to take a group picture with a cool Sherlock Holmes background. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Sherlock Holmes was the theme of this banquet. :D It makes me want to see the movie now cause I actually haven't seen it yet.

After banquet, some of went to Chattanooga. Luke really didn't want to go, so Renee and I asked David if he would go with me, and he said he would. :) It was a fun ride. We listened to some good music, and for about the last 10-15 minutes of the car ride there, we jammed to Evanescence. :D We got there, and we went down to the water, and we did some dances. I actually learned a few dances, so that's pretty exciting.

A little bit later on, Chris, Renee, David, and I walked to a really awesome coffee shop. To get there though, I had to go up a lot of stairs and it was pretty much a hill. Luckily, I had a great guy with me. David let me hold onto his arm while we were walking, especially up the stairs. It was very gentlemanly. :) We got to the coffee shop, and David and I got vanilla cappuchinos (of course, he insisted on paying for it.) Later on, before we decided to head back, he bought some chocolate for us as well. :) It was soooooo good. Of course, I had a wonderful escort on the way back down the hills and stairs. It really helped not only to keep my balance on those high-heeled shoes, but my feet were KILLING me.

On the way back, we jammed out to some more Evanescence and then Phantom of the Opera. :D I got changed back, finally got out of the killer shoes, and David walked me back to my dorm. I don't know if I could ever thank him enough for tonight. ^_^

I am now sitting in my room, letting my feet rest since they still hurt pretty bad, and I'm reflecting over this evening and tonight, and I think it's been one of the best nights of my life. :D

Thanks for letting me share this with you guys. I should probably get off soon since I'm going to church with my epic friends in the morning. Good night all!!

  1. So thankful you had a wonderful time with Luke at the banquet. I'm sure the flowers are beautiful! What a gentleman! That was very sweet of David to escort you and Renee afterwards. So glad you and Renee got to hang out. Sounds like the rest of the evening was great. Can't wait to see the pics! =)
